Lynup respects copyright and requires users to submit only content they are authorized to use. This policy explains how to report claimed infringement, respond with a counter-notice, and how Lynup handles repeat-infringer concerns.

Lynup is operated by Brendon Baugh. The operational copyright contact is support@lynup.xyz.

1. Before sending a notice

Consider whether the use is authorized by the copyright owner, licensed, in the public domain, or permitted by law, including fair use. A copyright notice is a legal request. Knowingly making a material misrepresentation about infringement or removal by mistake can create liability under applicable law.

A notice should identify specific material on Lynup. A general statement that an account or creator is infringing, without identifying the work and location, may not provide enough information to act.

2. Copyright infringement notice

Send a notice by email to support@lynup.xyz with the subject “DMCA Notice.” The notice must include substantially all of the following:

  • A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act for the owner.
  • Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed, or a representative list if one notice covers multiple works at one online site.
  • Identification of the material claimed to be infringing or the subject of infringing activity, plus information reasonably sufficient for Lynup to locate it, such as the exact Lynup URL, creator page, submission, profile, recap, asset, or other location.
  • Your name and information reasonably sufficient to contact you, including an email address and, where available, telephone number and mailing address.
  • A statement that you have a good-faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  • A statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right allegedly infringed.

3. Lynup’s review and action

Lynup records copyright reports in its internal case system and may request missing information, preserve relevant records, disable access to hosted material, remove a link or public display, change queue status, restrict an account, or take another proportionate action. Lynup may notify the affected user and provide a copy or summary of the claim, including claimant contact information.

Lynup may reject or defer action on an incomplete, abusive, fraudulent, or non-copyright report. Removal from a queue does not guarantee deletion from a third-party provider, livestream recording, backup, or copy outside Lynup’s control.

4. Counter-notice

If your material was removed or disabled because of a copyright notice and you believe that happened because of mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to support@lynup.xyz with the subject “DMCA Counter-Notice.” A counter-notice must include substantially all of the following:

  • Your physical or electronic signature.
  • Identification of the material removed or disabled and the location where it appeared before removal or disabling.
  • A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed or disabled because of mistake or misidentification.
  • Your name, mailing address, and telephone number.
  • A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the judicial district in which your address is located, or, if your address is outside the United States, for any judicial district in which Lynup may be found, and that you will accept service of process from the person who submitted the original notice or that person’s agent.

5. Forwarding and restoration

Lynup may forward a substantially compliant counter-notice to the original claimant. Under the DMCA process, Lynup may restore or re-enable the material no sooner than 10 and no later than 14 business days after forwarding the counter-notice unless the claimant informs Lynup that it filed a court action seeking to restrain the user from the allegedly infringing activity.

Restoration is not guaranteed when separate law, another rights claim, a provider restriction, a creator rule, a safety concern, or another Lynup policy independently supports keeping the material unavailable.

6. Repeat infringers

Lynup maintains a policy of restricting or terminating, in appropriate circumstances, users who are determined to be repeat infringers. Lynup may consider the number, timing, credibility, and outcome of notices and counter-notices; admissions or court findings; attempts to evade enforcement; and other relevant context.

A single allegation does not automatically establish repeat infringement, and a counter-notice does not prevent action supported by other evidence or policy violations. Lynup may also remove content or restrict an account after one serious incident where warranted.

Where applicable, Lynup accommodates standard technical measures used by copyright owners to identify or protect copyrighted works when those measures satisfy the requirements of applicable law and do not impose substantial costs or burdens on Lynup’s systems.

7. Designated-agent status

As of September 16, 2026, Lynup has not registered a designated DMCA agent with the U.S. Copyright Office. support@lynup.xyz is Lynup’s current operational contact for copyright reports; it is not represented as a Copyright Office-registered designated agent. Lynup will update this policy and centralized contact metadata if registration is completed.

This policy describes Lynup’s operational notice-and-counter-notice process and does not itself claim eligibility for any statutory safe harbor.

8. Other rights and contact

Trademark, privacy, impersonation, harassment, and other non-copyright complaints should be clearly identified and sent to the support email. Do not use a DMCA notice for a dispute that is not about copyright.

Copyright notices, counter-notices, and related questions may be sent to support@lynup.xyz. Lynup does not publish a business mailing address at this time, so email is the current operational intake channel.

9. Updates

Lynup may update this policy with a new version and effective date as its copyright process changes. Case records and historical policy acceptance records are preserved rather than rewritten.
